I 100% agree with you. When I read about this controversy about a year ago it made me really upset. I just don't think that it is a good witness for Christianity at all the way this highly educated woman has been treated.

There's been alot of blog posts about this over the last few months. Trey and I talked about it at the Roundup in August. Wade Burleson has an interesting viewpoint here...
http://kerussocharis.blogspot.com/2007/08/silence-that-sounds-serious-at.html

What bothers me most is that they won't make the transcript available to the public, which is actually supposed to be part of their bylaws, or something. But for some reason they break their own rules on this.

I haven't read alot about the whole issue, but I have heard others talk about it and from what I can tell, SWBS is wrong. Jack Terry talks highly of Paige Patterson, and from everything I have heard Dr Terry say, I find the entire situation both contradictory and curious. And that simple fact, their attempt to cloud the issue, is what I think is wrong. Perhaps they made a mistake, and perhaps they were correct. But their attempt to hide it doesn't look good.
